Passed away peacefully at Hawke’s Bay Hospital on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, aged 78.

Much loved Dad of Geoff and Debbie, Brendon and Charlotte, Rachael and Ross. Loved Grandad of Melissa, Josh, Thomas, Ari, Elizabeth, Daniel, Kate and Sam.

A service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held in the Beth Shan Chapel, 371 Gloucester Street, Taradale on Tuesday, December 19 at 1.30pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Sands NZ organization supporting cot death would be appreciated. Messages to the Bates Family, C/o PO Box 439, Napier 4140.
