RYAN, John Joseph.
Aged 93 years, John passed away peacefully on Monday, 9 June 2025. Devoted and loving husband of Adele (deceased). Loved father and father-in-law of Stephen, Philip and Paula, Angela and Bob, and Christopher. Adored grandfather of Sarah, Melissa, Emma, Sam and Jack, and great-grandfather of 10. Good friend of Kelvin.
A life of quiet strength, warm conversation and deep faith. Founding Principal of Tamatea High School.
Requiem Mass for John will be celebrated in St Mary’s Catholic Church, 58 Osier Road, Greenmeadows, Napier on Saturday, 14 June at 10.30am. Rosary will be recited in the Church on Friday evening at 6.30pm. Messages to the Ryan Family, C/o PO Box 439, Napier 4140.
