Aged 75 years
After bravely fighting the impact of a tragic accident, Chris, a proud Napier man, passed away peacefully on Friday, 23 October 2026, Hawke’s Bay Anniversary Day.
Treasured soulmate and best friend of Liz, married for over 52 years. A cherished Dad who shaped the lives of Matt and Sarah. Loved father-in-law of Gemma and Donald. Adored Pops of Ollie, Sophie, Meadow and Felix. Much loved brother of Ernie, Ray (deceased), and Paul.
A celebration of Chris’ life will be held at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, 4 Munroe Street, Napier on Thursday, 29 October at 12 noon. The Rosary will be held on Wednesday, 28 October at 6pm. Messages to the Wiig Family, C/o PO Box 439, Napier 4140.
