Merehana (Mella) Hone Skipworth

SKIPWORTH, Merehana Hone (Mella) (nee Reiri).

Mella passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, 1 March 2026 surrounded by her family, aged 92 years.

Much loved wife of the late George Skipworth. Adored mother and mother-in-law of George, Raymond (deceased), Garry and Te Matewai, and Miles. A treasured Nanny of all her moko and great-moko.

A service for Mella will be held at the Waiohiki Marae, 40 Waiohiki Road, Napier on Wednesday, 4 March at 9.00am.
