John Albert Shadbolt

SHADBOLT, John Albert (Shad).

Our deeply loved John (Shad) Shadbolt, husband of Isobel, father of Janine, father-in-law of Simon Hayward, twin brother of Margaret Ogilvie, younger brother of Michael (deceased) and devoted godfather of Elliot Francois, died peacefully at Cranford Hospice, Hastings on 13 June 2025, aged 82 years. John was loved and respected by extended family here and overseas. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cranford Hospice.

A service for John will be held at Waiapu Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist, 28 Browning Street, Napier on Saturday, 21 June at 10.30am. Messages to the Shadbolt Family, C/o PO Box 439, Napier 4140.
