MERCHANT, Raymond John (Dr).
Geologist, Inventor and master of inappropriate wit, Dr Ray Merchant’s ninth life expired on 30 October 2024 at Hastings Hospital, aged 72. Loving husband of Raema.
Loving brother of Judy and John Robertson, and loving father, grandfather and whānau of Anna, Noa, and Kayty; Marilyn; Lauren, Tane, Amotai, and Lily-Raema; Philippa, Bryn, Holly, Jaydn, and Naiah; Erin, and Akash; Ngaire, James, Molly, Jojo, and Rosie.
A celebration of Ray’s life will be held in the Beth Shan Chapel, 371 Gloucester Street, Taradale on Saturday November 2 at 11.00am. Messages to the Merchant Family, C/o PO 439, Napier 4140.
