MAGNUSSEN, Martin (Leon).

Leon passed away on 18 May 2026 peacefully at Atawhai Care Centre, Taradale. Aged 97 years.

Much loved husband of the late Barbara, and father and father-in-law of Cathy, Linda and Chris, Jocelyn and Geoff (deceased), Helen and Jon (deceased), Leonie, Jim and Tracy (deceased), Nicky and Miro.

Much loved Grandad of his 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

A loved mate, brother and uncle. Thanks to the staff of Atawhai Care Centre for their love and care. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cranford Hospice in memory of Leon may be left at the service and would be appreciated.

A service for Leon will be held in the Beth Shan Chapel, 157 Georges Drive, Napier on Friday, 22 May at 1.00pm. Messages to the Magnussen Family, C/o PO Box 439, Napier 4140.
